The promise
- Free 30-day returns. Within 30 days of delivery, return your EcoGuard for a full refund.
- No restocking fees, ever.
- We cover return shipping with a prepaid label.
- No questions about why.
If EcoGuard isn't the toughest trash can you've owned, send it back.
Start a return
- Go to the EcoGuard Returns Portal
- Enter your order number and email.
- If your item arrived defective or damaged, upload clear photos.
- We'll email you a prepaid return label within one business day along with simple packing instructions.
All returns must be authorized through the portal — we can't accept unauthorized returns.
Return eligibility
To qualify for a full refund, items must be:
- Unused and in original condition. Light handling and inspection is fine; we expect you to open the box and look at the can.
- Packed in the original carton with all original packaging materials.
- Shipped back within 14 days of return authorization. (Your specific deadline appears in the portal.)
Who pays for return shipping?
We do. EcoGuard covers return shipping on all approved returns through our prepaid label system — whether the return is for a defective item, a wrong size, or simply because you changed your mind. No deductions, no surprises, no math.
Defective or damaged in transit
If your EcoGuard arrives defective or damaged:
- Take photos of the packaging and the product before unpacking further.
- Submit a claim through the Returns Portal within 7 days of delivery.
- We'll arrange a free replacement — no return needed in most cases.
This is the fastest path. Email replies typically come back the same business day.
Non-returnable items
- Items marked Final Sale at checkout (rare, but occasionally applies to clearance bundles)
- Items showing signs of significant use, modification, or damage not caused by the carrier
- Returns requested more than 30 days after delivery
Partial refunds
In rare cases where a returned item shows wear, missing parts, or damage not caused by the carrier, we may issue a partial refund. If this applies to your return, we'll message you through the portal with the specific reason and adjusted amount before processing — you'll have the option to discuss it or have the item shipped back to you at no cost.
How to pack your return
- Place the EcoGuard in its original carton with the original packaging materials.
- Seal all seams securely and reinforce corners with packing tape.
- Attach the prepaid label to the carton. Cover or remove any old shipping labels.
- Drop off at the carrier location listed in your return instructions, or schedule a free pickup through the portal.
Refund method and timing
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 3 business days of us receiving and inspecting your return.
- After we process the refund, it typically takes 5–10 business days for the credit to appear on your statement — exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer.
- If your original payment method is unavailable, we can issue store credit.
Exchanges
For defective or incorrect items, choose Exchange in the portal instead of Refund. Once your return is received and approved, we'll ship a replacement at no cost. If the size or variant you want is out of stock, we'll issue a refund instead.
Order cancellations
- Before your order ships: Request a cancellation through the portal or by emailing us. We'll issue a full refund.
- After your order has shipped: You can either refuse delivery or accept the package and start a return after it arrives. Standard return terms apply.
Cancellations are not guaranteed until confirmed by our team. We ship quickly, so the cancellation window is usually short — contact us as soon as possible.
Refused or undeliverable packages
If a package is refused at delivery or returned to us due to an incorrect shipping address or repeated failed delivery attempts:
- We can reship to a corrected address (additional shipping cost may apply).
- Or refund the order, minus the outbound and return shipping cost charged to us by the carrier.
If the failed delivery was our error, we'll cover all shipping costs and either reship or refund in full.
Lost or missing deliveries
If tracking shows your package was delivered but you haven't received it:
- Check with neighbors, household members, and unusual delivery spots — back porches, garages, behind landscaping.
- Wait 24 hours. Carriers sometimes scan packages as delivered before actually leaving them.
- Open a support request through the portal if the package is still missing.
We'll start a carrier trace and, if the package is confirmed lost, arrange a free replacement or a full refund. Carrier delivery photos, if available, can be requested.
