We make outdoor trash cans the way they should have been made all along — from industrial-grade polypropylene, with locking attached lids, reinforced wheel mounts, and wide stable bases that don't tip the first time a raccoon leans in. The kind of trash can you buy once and stop thinking about.
What we believe
Cheap doesn't last. Most outdoor trash cans on the market are built from the cheapest plastic the manufacturer can specify. They crack at the wheel mounts the first winter. The lids blow off in the first real storm. You replace them every two or three years and call it normal. We don't think it's normal.
Better materials cost more — and save you money. Industrial-grade polypropylene costs more to manufacture than the HDPE used in budget cans. It also lasts longer, performs better in cold weather, and resists impact at the stress points where cheap cans fail. Pay once. Use it for years.
Less stuff in the landfill. Replacement cycles are the hidden cost of cheap goods. A trash can that survives ten winters is genuinely better for your household and for the world than three trash cans that survive three winters each. We don't make environmental claims we can't back, but we'll say this: durability is the most honest form of sustainability we know.
Where we ship from
EcoGuard ships from our warehouse in Fontana, California, with overflow capacity from regional partners across the continental US. Most orders go out within one business day and arrive in 2–3 days. We pack our own boxes, talk to our own customers, and read every review.
We're a small family-run team. There's no call center in a different time zone. When you email us, you get a person who can actually help — usually the same day, often within the hour.
Our standards
Every EcoGuard product has to clear three tests before we sell it:
- Will it survive a real winter? Cold-weather impact resistance, no cracking at stress points, freeze-thaw durability across multiple cycles.
- Will the lid stay on? Attached, locking, sealed against pests, wind, and curious neighborhood dogs.
- Will the buyer be happier in year three than in week one? No false economies, no replaceable consumables, no failure points that turn into "well, that's normal wear and tear."
If a product doesn't clear all three, we don't sell it.
